Please Let Us Come Have Our Baby!

We were supposed to go in today (Thursday) at 6 AM for Lisa to be induced. When we called, they said the hospital was too full and there weren't enough beds. I guess you are low priority when you are induced. So, we ended up just hanging around the house. I worked on the flooring in the kitchen, and Lisa just tried not to pop. She looks really cute, but she is definitely in her fourth trimester and looks like she swallowed a basketball.

I was unable to find a single picture of matt and I together while I was pregnant, so unfortunately all the pictures are of me and my growing belly!

Welcome to Sophie's Blog!

Like most new parents, my wife (Lisa Newman) and I (Matt Newman), are pretty excited about our new bundle of joy, and we want to record every moment of her life and share it with the ones we love. There is nothing like the birth of a child that makes you want to get a camcorder, take pictures at every opportunity, and share that with people (even if they don't even want you too!).

Therefore, we have created this blog as an easier way to record the events leading up to the birth of our daughter Sophie Grace Newman, and her early life. If Blogger and Google are still around when she is old, it might also be a great journal for her to look back on.
